Here I will show you about 3dsmax 3dmodel shotgun shell studio tutorial.
I have used following techniques in this 3ds max tutorial.
Editable poly techniques.

[1]-First of all you will press (ctrl +N) now you will see the new window is open
Click on the Geometry > Standard primitives > Cone and use the following setting
Create a box in the left view set like this in the front view

[2]-Select the Cone right click Convert into Editable poly then select polygon mode in the editable poly
And make a selection like this image as shown below

[3]-Now click on the Extrude button you will see the Extrude Polygons palette is open
Use the following setting your object should like this in the front view

[4]-select polygon mode in the editable poly
And make a selection like this image as shown below

[5]-Now click on the Bevel button you will see the Bevel Polygons palette is open
Use the following setting your object should like this in the front view

[6]-select polygon mode in the editable poly
And make a selection like this image as shown below
Open the Extrude Polygons palette and use the following setting

[7]-Make a selection like this
Open the Extrude Polygons palette and use the following setting

[8]-your object should like this in the Perspective view

[9]-Open the material window
in the first material use the following setting create a material like this for the plane

[10]-In the second material import a jpg like this

[11]-In the Third material just pick the color and give some shinning

[12]-After assign the material press (F9) and you will see the final is ready
Save the file in your folder
